How is your experience going to a two-year school compared to your friends who went right away to four-year schools?

  1. My experience with NOVA is that I have a higher GPA than I've ever had before. Now, I can sit here and find reasons for it, but usually, college is supposed to be harder. That is the case with my friends at thier four year schools. My friend just doesn't really have the willpower to complete his tasks, and he isn't putting much thought or time into his work. Maybe the reason for such a thing is the availability of the teachers. Because NOVA is a smaller school than most four year schools, there is more individual attention. Perhaps this explains why, in my experience, more NOVA students are enthusiastic about their career path and more involved in extraciriculars.

  2. By extracurriculars, do you mean working and helping with family? We wish more students would get involved with clubs, honors, internships, and community projects, but often community college students do not have time for these.
